Novartis社の抗マラリア薬CoartemがFDAのPriority Voucherの第一号になった

Novartis（ノバルティス）の抗マラリア薬CoartemがFDAに承認され*1、Priority Voucherの第一号となりました。Priity Voucherについては以前に紹介したことがあるので、こちらを参照下さい。

注目されているPriority Voucherですが、どのように活用するのか？期待されているような効果を発揮するのか？といった点については今後の行方を見守るという状況です*2。どんな制度も動き出すまではどんなことが起きるのかやはり想像がつかないものだと思います。今回の例が、Tropical Diseaseの治療薬開発の契機になればと思います。
